R A U N A Q

Channels are U- or C-shaped steel sections with parallel flanges connected by a web. Their open profile delivers excellent resistance to bending about one axis and makes them lighter than comparable closed sections. Channels are typically hot-rolled from mild steel for general structural applications, or formed from high-tensile steel for specialized use where weight savings are critical. Their flat back flange also allows easy bolting or welding to other members, making them highly versatile in modular construction.

Applications

  • Purlins & girts: Secondary roof and wall supports in pre-engineered buildings and cold-formed steel structures
  • Machine bases & frames: Structural skeletons for CNC machines, presses and conveyor supports
  • Racking & shelving: Uprights and beams in industrial storage systems, with punched holes for adjustability
  • Guide rails & tracks: Linear guides for sliding doors, material handling carts and automated systems
